Indian Coast Guard invites application from unmarried male Indian nationals possessing educational qualifications and age, as prescribed below, for recruitment to the post of Navik (General Duty) and Navik(Domestic Branch) in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union. Candidate can apply to any one of the posts. The details are as follows :

1. Navik (General Duty)
Age : Born between 01 Feb 91 to 31 Jan 95. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates
Educational Qualification : 10+2 with 60% marks in aggregate in Maths and Physics from an education board recognised by Central/State Government.
Pay Scale : Rs 5200 –20200 along with Rs 2000 Grade Pay. In addition, Dearness Allowance, Kit Maintenance Allowance and other liberal allowances will be admissible.
Mode of Application : ONLINE
2. Navik (Domestic Branch)
Age : Born between 01 Apr 91 to 31 Mar 95. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates)
Educational Qualification : Matriculate with 60% marks in aggregate from an education board recognised by Central /State Government.
Pay Scale : Rs 5200 –20200 alongwith Rs 1900 Grade Pay In addition, Dearness Allowance, Kit Maintenance Allowance and other liberal allowances will be admissible.

How to Apply :
Navik (General Duty) : Candidates are required to Apply ONLINE. Please log into : http://www.joincoastguard.org/ and follow the instructions and apply ONLINE.
Note : After submitting online application, candidates are required to print two copies of the application with number generated by the system. Both copies of the print out of application duly signed with photograph are to be carried by the
applicant to the recruitment centre. Out of the two copies one copy enclosed with photocopies of all required documents i.e. class 10th certificate/mark sheet showing date of birth, 12th class certificate along with mark sheet subjects,
caste certificate wherever required duly attested by the Gazzetted Officer shall also be carried by the candidate and submitted at the recruitment centre.
Navik (Domestic Branch) : The Candidates are required to apply in the Prescribed format giving complete details, and send the applications to Respective Zonal Office.

dear sir, i have completed 10th with 61% but i have no certificate of sport except trial certificate.
Am i eligible for domestic brank(navik)
The Basic qualification is 10th with 60% marks, you have 61%. You are eligible to apply. Good Luck!
DEAR SIR,
after the last stage of filling form ,i saw that i have to fill up the certificate no. of +2, but now i dont have it..so,if i fill this form again lated then would it create any problem..and is here any procedure to saving the fill up form??
There is a Cancel button at the bottom of the ONLINE application. Hit it, and start the registration all over again and don’t forget to keep the required details before filling up again. Good Luck!

It is better if you attest the certificates from a gazetted officer, unless asked otherwise.
Hello…Sir,
I get 66% in 10th exam and 59.17% in 12th Sci. with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.

The advertisement says 60% in +2. Read 2/(i)/a/ii in the pdf, it says ” Indicate exact percentage of 12th up to two decimals and are not to be rounded off”

Please read the ‘NOTE’ at the end of the post, it has enough details. you don’t have to send but have to carry it to the recruitment centre with the needed details.
sir i have martial arts(karate) national certificate is it eligible for coastguard general duty post and i have completed 10+2 with 72% am i eligible for this post

I have O.B.C. certificate under the govt of WEST BENGAL, can i apply in the category of OBC or general.
please reply me as early as possible at your earliest convenience.
If given a Choice, I would prefer to apply under OBC, the choice is yours now!

In general, its always better to submit an Application neat. My suggestion would be to use a fresh form.
